Connect GPS from Android Phone To PC (GPS Tethering)

How to use GPS signal from android phone on your PC (GPS tethering)

This is an easy way how to use your laptop as navigation device using GPS signal from your android phone.

What you need:

1. Any android GPS enabled phone.
2.BlueNMEA app (free from google play store -market-)

2.Google Earth.

  •  You need to pair your mobile phone with your PC Bluetooth, for the best result follow the following steps:
  1. Turn on your GPS on the phone.
  2. Turn on your Bluetooth on the phone.
  3. Start BlueNMEA app on the phone.
  • On the PC side :
  1. Turn on Bluetooth, and search for your phone.
  2. Pair it.

3. Go to Bluetooth Settings

4. Make sure there is two COM ports one for outgoing and incoming , if you have two ports skip to step 7

5. If you dont have COM ports as listed above, click "Add.." and choose incoming then click ok

6. Click Add again and add outgoing port and choose from the list your device and BlueNMEA app.

7. Go to Google Earth and click on GPS

8. Click Start, it will start connecting to you phone.

9. If everything is right you will see your PC listed on BlueNMEA app


10. Wait a couple of seconds and it will locate your position .

    The BlueNMEA program do not work.
    "TCP Status: Port is already in use"

    Tried on 2 Andorid phones and still the same result.

    Just connected my HP laptop to my Droid Razr Maxx. It took a little fiddling around to get the setup right, but the GPS does work on the laptop. I took a little test trip around the neighborhood. The "Position" blue dot and a short track followed me around fairly accurately.
