[DVB] How To Use ACamd Plugin!

Warning: Viewing pay TV channels without a valid subscription is illegal

ACamd Plugin is one of plugins that used for card sharing in a lot of DVB cards, today i will show you how to set your server settings using ACamd!

Acamd For Card Sharing!

1. Download the latest ACamd version 0.6.1.8 from here ( DVBSkystar.com , Direct Link 452 KB)

2. Extract and place it in Plugins folder (\ProgDVB\Plugins) or (\DVBdream\Plugins\pip00)

DVB Dream

ProgDVB

3. Open cardclient.conf file using Notepad.

4. Scroll down and look for the line which starts with "newcamd" and change it as :

for example this is my server settings : (yes, fake of course!)

Server Type : newcamd
Server Address(IP) & Port : TestServer.no-ip.info:9000
My UserName :UsrNm
My Password :Pass

here is the line before changes:

#newcamd:192.168.7.54:34000:1/0000/0000:username:password:0102030405060708091011121314

here is the line after changes : (with my fake server settings!!)

newcamd:TestServer.no-ip.info:9000:1/0000/0000:UsrNm:Pass:0102030405060708091011121314

  • Make sure to remove # from the beginning of the line to make it active !
  • If you have more than one port , or more than one server you can add as many lines as you want , for example:

  • You can change 1/0000/0000 with the CAID of the channel you want , for example OSN network uses 0604 , Al-Jazeera sport uses 0603 ......1/0603/0603
5. Save the file, and start your DVB player.

ACamd supports a wide variety of different servers (cardclients) :

Newcamd
CCcamN
Radegast (no EMM)
Gb*x (localhost no EMM)
Gb*xN (no EMM)
Mb*xN (no EMM)
Camd35 (only EMM for Irdeto/beta and Seca)
Emubox03 (no EMM)

And always remember :

Watching pay TV channels without a valid subscription is illegal

Al-Jazeera HD Channel

    @ Anonymous

This means the connection to the server is not established, this could be either an error in the information you entered , or the server is down

Great post, and I have got it working. But in the Acamd-Actions there are many settings. What are the optimum settings for use with DVB Dream?

Thanks My ACamd.ini is now as per your settings, now the drop down Actions drop down shows the following. (1=ticked 0=no tick).

active=1, show monitor at start=0, Auto search=1, multi ECM=0, Delete unused EMS's=1, CAT scan=1, PMT scan=1, read PMT file=1, use chcache.ini=1, DCW tweak=0, Disable key delay=1, packets to 184 bytes=0, Lock on ConnectionID=1, Disable client on bad connection=0, Disable monitor output=0, Monitor info to Acamd_log.txt=1, Display filter actions=0, Tray icon=1

    Cardreader drop down= all 0
Filters drop down = all 0

I have been having trouble with the Acamd, and over time have tried various settings. It turns out the problem was not the Acamd plugin at all. So I just want to put it back to some good default settings.

Last question, in general is Acamd v.0.6.1.8 the best Newcamd for general use? Thanks for your help!

    @ GrahamG

I verified your settings , and its exactly as mine.

acamd v 0.6.1.8 is the latest and the best, i tried a lot of different sharing program but i found acmad is the most stable and fastest one ,

I'm using it and I have no problem at all ,most of the time the problem is in the server itself, so do you use paid or free server?

Ok thanks then I am good. I am using a paid server based in Mexico. I tried the other one that is advertised everywhere but it was a problem with freezing etc. I can send you the info by email if your interested.

    @ No-one

sofar so good, always try to use servers based in the same country as you are, you will have less ping time (less freeze) .

Thanks, just need to know, if i need to do anything else other than editing the cardclient.conf for server address.
Do i need to run the acamdmonitor to make it work.

I have been using Acamd for sometime in conjunction with DVBdream. A minor irritation is that sometimes I get short freezing. This is caused by Acamd failing to collect keys. However, I do have another hardware receiver, a Dreambox 500S running rqcamd. This is faultless using the same server. My question, is there an alternative that I can try to Acamd - just to see if things change? I have tried changing various settings in Acamd but can't seem to fix the "glitch".

    @ Anonymous

no, you dont need to do anything, just edit the file and then start dvbdream .

    @ GrahamG

sometimes the hardware play a role here, as you said you tried dreambox with the same server and no lag whatsoever, do you hvae lags with all servers you try ? it maybe the satellite card you are using,

an alternative you can try wincsc

    April 28, 2011 at 3:52 AM

Thanks, well either they improved the server, or acamd 0.6.2.0 is better. Because as per Murphies law, no problems today. But thanks for the wincsc suggestion.

I cannot get ProgDVB 64 bit to start Acamd. Works fine with 32 bit version of ProgDVB. I read above that it should also work with the 64 bit one, but it simply doesn't start! I've tried copying the Acamd files and configs to several locations including the ProgDVB root, etc. No luck and very frustrating. Any help, please?

    Many thanks.

Hi, CAID is stated as being optional and some nlines come without it so how do I exclude it ? Do I type 0/0000/0000 or is there some other way to exclude it from the newcamd line ?

@ Dr.Mohammed, Thanks for this post I just want to understand if this tuto is suitable for DVBViewer, which I currently setup in my 64bit win 7, it works fine for 97w, also I have scanned for DN 110 &119 w, but I couldn't watch the channels coz they are all blocked.
Also which server would you recommend for DN, I don't mind paid service so far its stable and reliable.

    Thanks for you kind support

Long shot since this is an old topic...
Every now and then I cannot tune into a specific station. Then I have to delete chcache.ini and chidcache.ini and I'm good again.
    I am running ACamd 6.20.

There is no ACamd.ini file where I can adjust the settings. Can I just add that file? Will that work? Is there a different way to prevent those files from being created?
